The National Football League continues its reputation as the ‘No Fun League’ by fining Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill for his touchdown celebration against the Steelers last week.

According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, Hill was fined $12,875 for using a cheerleader’s pom-poms to celebrate after catching a 31-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Hill was not flagged for excessive celebration nor taunting during the game, which is somewhat strange that he was fined. Usually, these types of fines are handed to players that commit a celebration penalty during a game. But the fact that a flag was never thrown makes this fine ridiculous.

Nonetheless, the celebration was the most creative than what fans have seen in a while and has become an entertaining meme across social media.

Based on his latest tweet, Hill saw Pelissero’s report and has yet to see the fine itself.

Hill’s third-quarter touchdown grab was part of Kansas City’s 42-21 wildcard win over Pittsburgh, and we can be sure we haven’t seen the last of the Cheetah as the Chiefs greet the Buffalo to GEHA field at Arrowhead Stadium for a Division round rematch from Week 5.
