About

Hello, I’m Travis Forsyth and was born on May 18, 1995, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and grew up in Davenport, Oklahoma. At a young age, I fell in love with sports and the Kansas City Chiefs after my parents surprised my siblings and me, with a Playstation 2 console and a copy of Madden NFL 2005.

From that point forward, my love for the Chiefs and Kansas City sports grew and as I got older, I developed an interest in journalism after watching former Chiefs reporter Josh Looney talk about the happenings around the team on a weekly show called “Chiefs Live” that aired every Tuesday from 2009-2012.

After graduating from Davenport High School in 2014, I attended Oklahoma Community College the following year. In 2016, I took the sports beat in my first journalism class at OCCC and earned the sports writer job at the OCCC student paper, The Pioneer.

In 2018, I was offered a contributor role with a startup site called “Chiefs Update”, where I published articles about the team. Unfortunately, the site shut down at the start of the ’18 NFL season.

On June 20, 2019, I decided to start my own media brand “Chiefs Now” which has quickly become one of the best up-and-coming team-themed sites on the internet with a followership of over 9k on Facebook and over 18,000 readers per year.

Quick Disclaimer, just so everyone knows, Chiefs Now is not in any way affiliated with the National Football League or the Kansas City Chiefs organization and claims under the Copyright Disclaimer of section 107 – Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education, and research.

Thank you for visiting Chiefs Now, I hope you’ll revisit the site soon. Also, don’t forget to head over to my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/chiefsnow/ and give it a follow to stay up to date with the most recent posts about the Chiefs.
