According to the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest injury report, there are no injuries to be reported, but one more player was placed on the team’s reserve-COVID-19 list on Tuesday. That player is defensive tackle Chris Jones, who joins wide receiver Jost Gordon, who entered NFL’s COVID-19 protocol on Monday.

Head Coach Andy Reid also told reporters cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was currently traveling back to Kansas City, which is why he did not participate in Tuesday’s practice session. Sneed has not been with the team since the passing of his brother on Oct 10.

Coach Reid did not reveal Jones’ vaccination status, and it is unknown if he was in close contact with someone positive. However, if Jones is vaccinated, he will only need two negative tests 24 hours apart, per the league COVID-19 policy, to travel with the team when they play the L.A. Chargers on Thursday night, which Reid hasn’t ruled out.

“We’ll see,” Reid said. “We’ll just see how the testing, you know they test here. So, we’ll just see how that goes.”

It’ll be a crushing blow to Kansas city’s defense if Jones can’t suit up on Thursday. The star DT registered five sacks, 12 tackles, and 10 QB hits over the Chiefs’ six-game winning streak.
